I used Yupo, a synthetic paper, to aid in developing the fantastic pattern of harsh light across his clothes and face, as well as for developing the wonderful age-lines of his classic face. Although he was actively walking along a village path, his expression reveals a deep concentration of the task ahead. Haven't we all be forced into inward thoughts when blinded by the mid-day sun?
